With Bipolar mania, hypo mania, and bipolar depression, there are some obvious signs to look out for. Some call them the red flags of bipolar disorder and the obvious signs of this disorder can be severe mood from mania to depression.

Each person has their own pattern because this illness does not follow a set one. Some may have mania followed by depression and others very different. People can also experience moods that can be quite similar in nature for some time, say days or weeks and others can change in a matter of hours. Each person has the severity of mood phases different.

Bipolar Mania Symptoms

If you or a member of your family are constantly going through three or more of bipolar mania symptoms listed below most of the day, or for a whole week there is a great chance you have bipolar mania:

Very happy, full of hope, and always excited: This is a different kind of happiness which is beyond the usual. For no obvious reason they become very happy which some describe as euphoric. It is in fact an exaggerated mania type of happiness, hopefulness and excitement.

They can change from being full of joy to being, angry, irritating and quite hostile: Their mood can change from being happy, full of life to irritating, angry and hostile.

Very restless with lots of energy to burn, but cannot sleep well: Because the mind is running wild with ideas, the mind becomes just too active and cannot rest for the night.

They seem to have the gift of the gab: Racing thoughts, making big and difficult plans and ballooned self esteem and self image. This is probably due to huge amounts of ideas with the mouth trying to keep up. These people can be talking about different topics in a matter of minutes.

Very high sex drive: either men or women their sex libidos are at all time high. These people are both thinking about sex and also want to act out their fantasies no matter whom.

Having Great plans which are unattainable: They are full of big plans which to us look and sound ridiculous.

Their judgment can be really bad: This is because their mind has to process so much information.

Self-esteem or self image is out of proportion: Their belief and opinion of themselves is unrealistic and false. They have also this grandiosity” type of thinking.

They are quite reckless in their overall behaviors: Victims with bipolar mania may go on expensive spending, wanting to have sex all the time and wanting to bo high by the use of alcohol and drugs. They can also make awful decisions and business endeavors.

Hypo mania

There are two words linked to form this word hypo mania. Hypo = an increase and mania = beyond the usual excitement or enthusiasm. This is a less severe form of the mania mode which many do not perceive as a problem. Hypo mania can evolve into a serious depression or mania episode.

Parting Words

Most people with mania episode have lots of ideas coming all at once and eventually overwhelming them with confusion. This is replaced by clarity, their sense of humor is not amusing anymore, with friends becoming frightened, red flags must be raised. Along with these you become irritable, angry, frightened, uncontrollable, and a feeling of being trapped, you are sure to have bipolar mania.
